I do not buy anything to speed up linu production. I am doing it slowly and as a pet project in the back burner. I made one Empire Dragon Treasure everyday. Now, I need another 38 Linu to go to finish them all. More than a year has passed and 'just' another year to go.
- Does someone 'need' this boons, no. Would it be nicer, to get them faster, yes.
While I undestand the notion, to ask for changes, I do understand the argument of, get it done or ignore it.
As we have seen in many videos, the run would be easy, if we could que up.
IMO they should either implement a group que (not just 5 ppl) or raise the needed IL, so everyone in the instance can contribute. The argument, that decked out players dont need the boons is invalid. No one 'needs' 4k+ IL, BIS gear, legendary and epic companions etc, but if you try to minmax your char, you will try to get that last needed companion or this last needed boon.
The reason it is allmost undoable is, that it is a waste of time, if you dont sync que with 20+ 3k+ IL players, bc 5 players cant carry 20 undergeared or AFK players. More ppl would go for it, if you would not waste your time bc most of your group cant or wont contribute.
Why are there 3k+ channels? Bc these ppl are elitist snobs, no. It is bc some content is just doable or at last easier, if your teammates have decent gear.
The IL asked for instances is just to low. 1.6k IL ppl either need a troll combo, great players or someone with decent gear to carry them. My expirience is, that 2 good players can carry 3 bad in any T1, 3 can carry 2 in any T2 (GWD would be a waste of time none the less), 5 good players are needed for EDemo (if no one botches up 2nd phase) and 10 for a decent Tiamat run. It's funny how in MMOs (more than any other genre of game) people don't understand when they've gotten so into the game that their experience is different from the vast majority of the people playing the game.I did it on 8 characters.
You can do it too. You join a channel and you kill Tia 80 times. Each toon.
Everyone else has done it too.
'blah blah x thing is easy blah blah blah, I play 90 hrs a week and have been in the game since it launched and can solo epic gorg and still get gold rank every time. I don't get why anything in the game could be burdensome for anyone ever, I HAMSTER and half the server dies. The mobs basically just walk up to me and hand me their loot to save the trouble of me having to blink and kill them. I have rare HAMSTER that I combo together that current players don't even know existed. I've already built 3 guild halls to max level and am making a fourth. Isn't it that way for everybody?'

Any content that is impractical for all conventional purposes ceases to exist..of course.. that conversation leads back to the dungeons that actually did cease to exist.. litterally..which is another topic..
You dont need 3k+, to be good, but if you are good, you will do more dmg etc, with BIS gear, then with 2k. Furthermore, if you are bad, you will still do more dmg with 3k, the with 2k. So more IL translates to more dmg for each player.

We had this argument in spades, when Tiamat was lauched. 5 perfect groups with 2k+ IL can do it. Thing is, you cant que with 25 ppl, some ppl cant or wont contribute. You might be a great player with a perfect built, guess what, with BIS gear, legendary/ epic companion, all boons etc. you will deal more dmg, than with worse gear.
If I dont run premade, I dont know, who will join my party. The only information available is class and IL, so ppl use IL, to get a better chance to win the fight.

i am offering few ideas for them.
reduce numbers of legions and bannish once the clerics are at full power. (this would allow us to make run for the heads without them holding us back), and cut down from elite 73 lvl down to standard non-elite 72 lvl, and they must have cooldowns on blinkportings, no devils while the heads timers are up.
afkers get boot out after 2 minutes if not in combat with legions, or if 3 mins if fair enough due to lags, must be in combat zone, if staying in or by campfire, they get booted.
redo dragon breath damages, only 1 at a time, to reduce lag factor, zone need to cut down some polygon counts and partical effects.
add few minutes that give players time to run from head to head intervals, or create bridges just to save time run around the gaps.
devs, how hard to do this???
last 2 boons, change it! by all means for sanity, 4th boons would take 5 favors and final for 10 favors., if others already completed, should be compensated with something they can use without upseting many players. - ok, i want to add, to make it actractive,
better random rewards, any suggessions?

Chromatic Cloak of Taimat (enchant with breath weapon of player choice) with breath socket
breath shards for cloak.
1 superior mark (random or potency)
2-5 rank 5 dragon gems
1-2 coalenscent wards
random blue/purple artifact refine stones
bag of greater hoard.
random prize amount of 20 zens, limited only up to (one per week timer?)
to prevent zone farming, if player recieved 'successful' event, then timer effect to wait until timer expired set by devs' decisions, and base on daily coffer if it reach 100%, then nice full randomly prizes should be expected, at the end of day timer, coffer reset if there was successfully have zone cleared, and then players restocking until 100% full and then taimat temple opens for all players each day.
no one want to go to taimat when it is at 45% or 80% because it yeild lesser rewards and none of these rewards i posted wont be up until it must be at 100% for rest of the day.
i am sure there is someone in this forum may have better idea to make it actractive runs, let see what you got. - I think it's a good idea to ease up a bit, given that Tiamat is so much harder to complete now, but keep in mind that those last two boons represent an entire module. It should take no more or less time than, say, Sharandar. One solution would be to make Linu's purchasable with ToD campaign currency so you could grind them out with dailies.

I have only run a few Tiamat since Mod 6 for a number of reasons not the least of which is there is not much of value to me any more.
But
I do run at least 3 quest there every day because the currency is needed for Stronghold upgrades.
I have lots of Linos which I most likely will never use again.
Who knows the area may get a shot in the arm and they will be useful again.

It's not just about creating a channel for Tiamat man. It's that it's more work for some boons that are too highly valued and too difficult to obtain. As older material becomes obsolete the Devs should look at how gaining those boons for newer players or alts needs to be adjusted for more fluid progression. The aim of this discussion was to bring that to light.Nothing is stopping you from creating your own channel to do Tiamat.
